JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
[Specific explanation in addition to field 'Justification for data waiving']
According to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Annex IX, Section 9.2.1.3 column 2, a simulation study on ultimate degradation in soil does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. MIPA (CAS 78-96-6) is readily biodegradable (> 78% O2 consumption after 28 days, OECD 301 F; Dow Chemicals, 1998; see IUCLID Ch. 5.2.1). Therefore, a study on ultimate degradation in soil is not performed.
