Description of key information

The auto ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 475 °C at 1010.9 to 1013.6 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
475 °C

Additional information

A study was contudected to determine the auto-ignition temperature of the test item according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.15 and DIN 51794. Three independent determinations were conducted. The lowest temperature of an ignition was determined to be 477 °C in test series 1, 480 °C in test series 2 and 478 °C in test series 3. According to the criteria as laid down in EU A.15 the auto ignition temperature is the lowest value of the three experiments, rounded down to a whole multiple of 5 °C. Therefore, the auto ignition temperature is stated as 475 °C. The three lowest values of the main study lay within a range of 20 K. No observations were made which might cause doubts concerning the validity of the study outcome. Thus, the validation criteria were fulfilled.
