Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reliable results from short-term toxicity tests are available for freshwater fish (Oryzias latipes), invertebrates (Daphnia magna), and algae (Selenastrum capricornutum, new namePseudokirchneriella subcapitata). The 96-hr LC50 for the one reliable study for freshwater fish was determined to be > 66.6 mg/L based on the geometric mean of measured test concentrations. The key study on invertebrates determined an EC50value of 23.1 mg/L and NOEC of 17.4 mg/L, based on geometric mean of measured concentrations. The key study on algae determined an EC50value of 152 mg/L and NOEC of 224 mg/L, based on measured initial concentrations.

A longer-term reproduction test (21-day) with invertebrates (Daphnia magna) determined an LC50value of 13.4 mg/L, NOEC of 4.94 mg/L and LOEC of 12.0 mg/L, based on time-weighted mean measured concentrations.

Although results should be interpreted with caution because the test substance concentration was not maintained above 80% of the initial concentration, results are considered reliable because they are based on measured concentrations.
