Under the conditions of the test, the percent biodegradation of 2-bromo -Propane was 68.6% in 21 days (plateau). Ten days following the beginning of the test, it reached approximately 56% biodegradation. The substance may be considered "readily biodegradable" according to the criteria in Guideline 301 of the OECD.
Executive summary:
The biodegradability of 2 -bromopropane was conducted using procedures set forth in Annex C.4-E to Directive 92/69/EEC. This protocol is in agreement with the OECD Guideline No. 301 D adopted 17/7/92. RESULTS SYNOPSIS*:Under the conditions of the test, the percent biodegradation of 2-bromo -Propane was 68.6% in 21 days (plateau). Ten days following the beginning of the test,it has reached about 56% biodegradation.
