- Details on results:
- PRELIMINARY TEST
The recorded observations for the contents of the cylinder after each addition of n-octanol are:
0.5 mL volume of n-octanol added: >203 g/L saturation concentration. The observations were of a clear, colourless, single phase liquid.
The solubility was estimated to be greater than 203 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C and definitive testing was continued using the method MT 181.
DEFINITIVE TEST
The recorded observations for the contents of the cylinder after each addition of n-octanol are: 2 mL total volume of n-octanol added: Saturation concentration of Sample 1 was > 253 g/L. Saturation concentration of Sample 2 was > 250 g/L. The observations were of a clear colourless, single phase liquid.
The solubility was estimated to be greater than 250 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. - Conclusions:
- Under the conditions of the study the solubility of the test material in n-octanol was determined to be greater than 250 g/L of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
- Executive summary:
The solubility in n-octanol of the test material was determined by a visual evaluation method, designed to be compatible with the CIPAC Handbook for the Analysis of Technical and Formulated Pesticides, Book H, Method MT 181.
Under the conditions of the study the solubility of the test material in n-octanol was determined to be greater than 250 g/L of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
