Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic algae.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
103.84 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity assessment to algae is based on the isomere substance Citral (CAS 5392-40-5).

In a cell multiplication inhibition test conducted according to the German national test guideline DIN 38412, Part L9 and using Scenedesmus subspicatus Chodat as test organism the 72 h-EC50 was determined to be 103.84 mg/L Citral N based on the growth rate.
