Additional information

The acute toxicity of (Z)-3,7-Dimethylocta-2,6-dienal was derived from the isomer citral (CAS 5392-40-5). For citral, the acute toxicity to fish was determined in a study performed in accordance to the German national standard guideline DIN 38412, which is also in agreement with the OECD Guideline 203. A 96 h-LC50=6.78 mg/L (nominal) was obtained as the geometrical mean of the LC0 value (4.6 mg/L) and the LC100 value (10 mg/L).
