Description of key information

Examination of the structure of 2,6-dimethylheptan-4-one (diisobutyl ketone, DiBK) shows that there are no reactive groups that may give rise to instability in common organic solvents. DiBK is known to be miscible with and stable in many organic solvents. DiBK is a known ether–ester solvent with excellent solvent properties for a wide range of applications.
