Description of key information

A median effective concentration of >1000 mg/L was identified in an activated sludge respiration inhibition test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One toxicity to microorganisms study is available: an activated sludge respiration inhibition test. Nominal test material concentrations were 10, 30, 100, 300, and 1000 mg/L. The observed inhibitions of the test material on respiration of the inoculum ranged from –4.8 to 34.2%, but there was no concentration–response pattern. The median effective concentration was concluded to be >1000 mg/L.
