Description of key information

A no-observed effect loading rate of 100 mg/L was identified in an acute toxicity test in Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L

Additional information

One toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria study is available: a 72-hour study in the freshwater species Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata. The test used WAF loading rates of 0, 6.3, 13, 25, 50 and 100 mg test substance per litre. There were no treatment-related effects on any of the parameters measured at any of the tested concentrations. The 72-hour no-observed effect loading rate and median effective loading rate of the test substance is therefore concluded to be 100 mg/L and >100 mg/L respectively.
