Description of key information

It is not currently possible to determine the dissociation constant of this substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

From the compositional description and the structural formula given it can be seen that the substance is a salt of an amine and a carboxylic acid. However, both ionic species are very non-polar and would be expected to have very low water solubility. This is indeed the case: the solubility of the substance in water has been measured as less than 1 microgram/L. Consequently, it would scientifically not be possible to perform the test as the analytical method would not be sensitive enough.
