Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
The substance has no functional groups associated with oxidising properties. According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VII, 7.13. Oxidising properties, no study is required, if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials for example on the basis of the chemical structure (e.g. organic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms and these elements are not chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen, or inorganic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms). This fact is additionally affirmed by the “Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment - Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance ” R.7.1.13 Oxidising Properties.
Therefore testing on this endpoint is not necessary.
