Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A study investigating effects of the test substance on seedling emergence and/or growth is available (Hulzenbosch et al. 1991). This study is performed according to OECD 208 with application of the test substance in soil or in nutrient solution. The EC50 for direct application in soil is 292 mg/kg dw and for application in a nutrient solution 26 mg/L.
Long-term toxicity study was waived due to readily biodegradation, low bioaccumulation potential.

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for terrestrial plants:
292 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

The selected value for the EC50 represents direct application into soil and is likely to represent potential exposure to the test substance in the most realistic way, as it is not expected that the test substance will be applied directly to plants.

The test substance is readily biodegradable and has a low bioaccumulation potential. Furthermore, adsorption to organic particles is low, and therefore exposure of the soil compartment is also expected to be low. Emissions to the environment are largely controlled. No further testing warranted. Therefore this endpoint is waived based upon REACH Annex IX Section 9.4 column 2.
