Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A short term toxicity study with Tyrophagus putrescentiae is available. In the study (Sung et al, 2005) with Tyrophagus putrescentiae the LD50 is 4.23 μg/cm2.

A long term toxicity study waived due to readily biodegradation, low bioaccumulation potential.

Additional information

A short term toxicity study (Sung et al, 2005) with Tyrophagus putrescentiae is available indicating the LD50 is 4.23 μg/cm2.

The test substance is readily biodegradable and has a low bioaccumulation potential. Furthermore, adsorption to organic particles is low, and therefore exposure of the soil compartment is also expected to be low. Emissions to the environment are largely controlled. No further testing warranted. Therefore this endpoint is waived based upon REACH Annex IX Section 9.4 column 2.
