NOEC (21 d) ≥ 94 mg/L for Daphnia magna (OECD 211)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study is available investigating the long-term toxicity of triacetin (CAS 102-76-1) to aquatic invertebrates. The study was conducted according to OECD 211 under GLP conditions with the water flea Daphnia magna (Toray Research Center, 1998). A limit test with a concentration of 100 mg/L was performed. After 21 d under semi-static conditions, no effects on the reproduction and mortality were reported resulting in a NOEC of ≥ 94 mg/L (meas. geom. mean).
