Additional information

In accordance with REACH Regulation 1907/2006, Annex X, Column 2, studies of the effects on soil organisms may need to be considered. If there is the potential for adsorption to soil it cannot be assumed that, in tests on soil organisms, exposure through pore water will not differ significantly from that in water. As a result, data from aquatic testing cannot be used to indicate possible hazards.

While no data are available on toxicity to soil organisms, data on microorganisms of sewage treatment plants are available and could be taken as an indicator that effects on soil microorganisms may be minimal. In this study no inhibition was observed in a respiration inhibition test with activated sludge and the NOEC was regarded as being 1000 mg/L.
