Approx. 20 years of experience from exposed workers gave no evidence of skin sensitisation/allergic contact dermatitis in conjuction with exposure to calcium silicate (see also Chapter 7.10.4). This is consistent with approx. 50 years of occupational experience with synthetic amorphous silica, the parent substance (see ECETOC 2006).
Further testing has been waived based on REACH Regulation, Annex XI.
