Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the stability of the substance is not considered to be critical

Description of key information

There are no functional groups present in 2,6-DTBP which are expected to result in instability in solvents.  In fact 2,6-DTBP is used as a UV stabilizer and an antioxidant for hydrocarbon-based products ranging from petrochemicals to plastics, therefore it must be stable in at least hydrocarbon based solvents.

There are no reported cases of instability and formation of degradation products.
