Key value for chemical safety assessment

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
liquid

Additional information

A literature review was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. HSDB, GESTIS database and Yaws' Handbook of Physical Properties for Hydrocarbons and Chemicals reports that propionic acid is a liquid at 20 °C. Three independent literature sources report that propionic acid is a liquid.

The value from HSDB which is a peer reviewed database was chosen as key parameter for the appearance.
