Based on the results of the study Tarara (2004) it can be concluded that 1,2,4-triazole is degraded under the investigated conditions in northern and southern Europe with no observation of a significant vertical movement. The test item 1,2,4-triazole was significantly degraded at three test sites Burscheid, Albaro and Little Shelford within the course of the study and it was nearly completely degraded at site Vilobi d'Onyar. The slower degradation at this site can be explained by the temperature and rainfall to be below long-term averages at the test location for several months during the runtime of the study. Half-life were determined between 6.8 to 28.1d.
