Additional information

The flammability of 1,2,4-triazole was assessed in 2 tests.

First experiment according to the UN Test Procedure N.1. When approached by the ignition flame, the test substance melted; however, it did not burn down or burn up. As such, no further testing was required, and the substance was classified as “not readily combustible” under CLP classifications.

Second experiment the test item was heated for two minutes with the flame of a teclu burner. The test item started to melt immediately. No propagation of combustion was noticed. Since propagation of combustion did not occur within two minutes, the test item was classified as not highly flammable, and no determination of burning rate was necessary.
