Bioconcentration studies were performed on carp (Cyprinus carpio) with a duration of 42 days following OECD Guideline 305C. At a test concentration of 0.2 mg dibutyl ether/L, a BCF of 47-83 was measured. At a second test concentration of 0.02 mg dibutyl ether/L,  a BCF of 30 to 114 was measured. These values indicate a low potential for dibutyl ether to bioconcentrate or bioaccumulate in aquatic organisms.
