Description of key information

The melting point of C4 Acrylate is 54.7 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The melting point was evaluated in two studies. In the key study, the melting point was determined to be 54.7 °C. The study or the apparatus operational manual does not specify compliance with methodological guidance, but automated capillary melting point apparatuses with photocell detection are approved by OECD 102. Therefore, the study is considered reliable with restriction. In the supporting study, the melting point was determined to be 47.95 °C in a DSC experiment. The result originates from an analytical data sheet where it is unknown if the data acquisition was done in compliance with any methodological guidance. Due to little detail on study methods, experimental conditions, characterization and a singular trial of the test substance, the reliability of this result is not assignable.
