Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
not determinable

Any other information on results incl. tables

The sample melts if ignition is attempted with a flame or a hot platinium wire. No further reaction is observed uption ignition attempt with a flame. With the hot platinium wire, the melting sample briefly flared up but the flame immediately extinguished upon removal of the wire.

The test substance is assigned to combustion class 2: "catches fire briefly and extinguishes rapidly" ("Brennzahl" 2 definition according to HVBG, 2001).

As the flame does not propagate no burning rate can be determined.
