Description of key information

The melting point can not be determined due to reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a GLP experiment according to OECD and EU guidelines, the melting and boiling temperature of the test substance were determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).

No effects were observed which were due to melting and/or boiling of the test substance. An exothermic peak was observed between 100°C and 400°C. The effect was due to reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance. After the experiment, a white residue remained in the sample container.

It can as a consequence be concluded that no melting point can be determined for this test substance.
