Description of key information

The disscociation constant of the reaction mass of calcium carbonate, calcium dihydroxide and calcium peroxide is not determined as the reaction mass is hydrolytically unstable. Instead, information on the relevant degradation products has been included.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The literature value available for the dissociation constant of hydrogen peroxide at 25 °C is:

pKa = 11.62.

The literature value available for the dissociation constant of calcium dihydroxide at 25 °C is:

pKb1 < 0 for Ca(OH)2

pKb2 = 1.2 for Ca(OH)+
