Additional information

The ready biodegradability of Oxooil LS 13 in water was assessed in a CO2Headspace Test which is recommended for volatile materials (OECD 310). The test material attained 3% degradation after 28 days and therefore cannot be considered to be readily biodegradable. A second study was performed to assess the inherent biodegradability of Oxooil LS 13 in water according to OECD guideline 302D. The test material attained 41% degradation after 56 days and therefore cannot be considered inherently biodegradable.

Simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water, sediment and soil does not need to be conducted as the Chemical Safety Assessment does not indicate the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance.
