Conclusion on classification

In acute aquatic toxicity tests, no acute toxicity up to the water solubility limit was observed. The EL50 determined in the study with Daphnia magna is well above water solubility and therefore questionable. Also, the NOEC from the 72-hr algae test is at or above the water solubility level. However, as the substance is not readily biodegradable and has a high log Pow (>6.2, indicated as 7.6 -8.3), in accordance with the 2nd ATP of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) the safety net classification has to be assigned, thus aquatic chronic 4.

In accordance with EC Directive 67/548, the safety net classification is R53.
