Description of key information

The kinematic viscosity of Oxooel LS13 was determined to be 1.85 mm^2/s at 20°C using the capillary method (in accordance with OECD 114 and DIN EN ISO 3104). The kinematic viscosity at  40°C was determined to be 1.33 mm^2/s using the same method.

Additional information

The dynamic viscosity of Oxooel LS13 was calculated to be 1.82 mPa s, using the experimentally determined kinematic viscosity (key study) and density value (see endpoint 4.4).

For Oxooil the kinematic viscosity at 40°C was determined to be 1.33 x mm2/s.

A substance is classified in Category 1: (a) based on reliable and good quality human evidence or (b) if it is a hydrocarbon and has a kinematic viscosity of 20.5 mm2/s or less, measured at 40 °C . According to these criteria, Oxooil has to be classified Category 1 for aspiration hazard.
