Additional information

Currently very limited information about the skin and eye irritation properties of the test substance are available in the literature. Based on the physical chemical properties of the test substance and on information provided by the production plant the substance is considered to be corrosive. Because of animal welfare reasons, no further testing of the purified or diluted test material is considered and the test substance will be classified and labelled accordingly.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The results from the physical chemical properties of the test substance and information provided by the production plant show that the substance is corrosive to the skin and need to be classified as Category 1, "Danger - H314: Causes severe skin burns and eye damage" according to CLP (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council) as implementation of UN-GHS in the EU.
