Preliminary screening test

The specimen prepared with the ground sample ignites on contact with a Bunsen burner flame and after being removed from the burner, the flame goes out; after, the generated smoke and presence of embers that propagate slowly are observed. After 4 minutes, from when it is removed from the Bunsen burner flame, one notes propagation for approximately 15 mm in length on the specimen without any further embers or smoke.

The sample indicated asCarboNeXT, not propagating combustion on 200 mm within 4 minutes, must not be considered easily flammable and further tests were not conducted, pursuant to the method.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
CarboNeXT does not propagate combustion on 200 mm within 4 minutes and must not be considered easily flammable.
