Description of key information

The biotic degradation potential of 4-Hydroxy TEMPO was investigated according to EU-method C.4-A. After 28 days incubation, the test item reached 9 % degradation. The test item cannot be considered readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

4-Hydroxy TEMPO biotic degradation potential was determined in a study according to EU-method C.4-A. Degradation was followed by DOC analysis at frequent intervals. Exposure was investigated for 28 days. At end of the test a degradation of 9 % was detected. The test item cannot be considered readily biodegradable.
