Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

4-Hydroxy-TEMPO showed a smaller effect than TEMPO or Tempamine. 1 mM caused a small but significant enhancement of E/S coupling (relationship between PSP and population spike) and synaptic efficacy, at 5 Mmol a greater potentiation of E/S coupling was observed, but the synaptic potential was not altered. The effects were reversible. At the high concentration additionally in 3 of 5 slices a secondary population spike was developed by the somatic field potential, suggesting some hyperexcitability.
