E-glass microfibre is inorganic, chemically inert and highly insoluble in water, and also highly stable to hydrolysis. Thus, E-glass microfibre can be regarded as inert in the environment and environmental organisms, and in sewage treatment plants.

Conclusion on classification

E-glass microfibre is considered harmless to the environment and to environmental organisms. E-glass microfibre shall not be classified as dangerous to the environment.
