Conclusions:
E-glass microfibre is inorganic, highly insoluble and stable to hydrolysis. This fibre has low potential to cross biological membranes and consequently has a low potential for absorption through the gastrointestinal tract. Furthermore, oral exposure is an insignificant exposure route for E-glass microfibre. Consequently, the study of this end-point is scientifically unjustified.
