Description of key information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex XI, the flammability (contact with water and pyrophoric properties of solids and liquids) studies as well as studies on pyrophoric properties do not need to be conducted as experience in use and handling has shown that the substance does not possess these properties. In accordance with section 2 of REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex XI, the flammability (solids and gases) studies (required in Annex VII section 7.10) cannot be conducted as the substance is a liquid.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The notifiable substance has a flash point greater than 60 °C (closed-cup) (flash point = 140 °C PM closed cup). As a result, the substance does not meet the criteria for classification as a flammable liquid according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, Annex I section 2.6.
