Description of key information

Additional information

The test substance is an organic colorless to yellow liquid with a melting point of -21.5 °C and a boiling point of 293.6 °C. The reported relative density is 1.09722 and the vapour pressure is 0.25 Pa at 25 °C. The estimation of the partition coefficient by the HPLC method results in a log Pow of -0.269 at 25 °C and pH of 6.7. The test substance is very soluble at 55.6 g/L. As the surface tension is less than 60 mN/m at 20 °C (44.4 mN/m), it should be regarded as a surface active material. The test substance has a flash point of 140 °C, an auto-ignition temperature of 260 °C and a dynamic viscosity of 16.65 mPa.s.

The test substance does not contain any ionizable functionality indicating that a dissociation constant study is not required. The test substance is neither flammable in contact with water or air, explosive, nor does it possess oxidising properties.
