Test solutions

Vehicle:
yes
Details on test solutions:
- Preparation of test media: The test medium of the highest test concentration, 500 mg/l (nominal) was prepared together with 100 mg Cremophor RH 4 solubilizer. Following this, serial dilutions of this test medium were prepared in order to obtain the desired test concentrations. Additionally, a culture medium control and a solubilizer control was tested in parallel.

Test organisms

Test organisms (species):
Daphnia magna
Details on test organisms:
TEST ORGANISM
- Common name: water flea
- Source: obtained from the Institute National de Recherche Chimique Appliquee, France and cultured in the laboratories of BASF since 1978.
- Age at study initiation (mean and range, SD): 2 - 24 hours
- Feeding during test
- Food type: grown Green algae culture
- Frequency: daily
