Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation:Move to fresh air. No specific treatment is necessary since this material is not likely to be hazardous by inhalation. Call a physician if symptoms develop or persist.Skin Contact:Immediately flush skin with running water for at least 20 minutes. Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention, if needed.Eye Contact:Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes. If irritation persists get medical attention.Ingestion:Have victim rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. If vomiting occurs naturally, have victim lean forward to reduce risk of aspiration. Obtain medical attention.General Advice:Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash off with soap and water. If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).Notes to Physicians:Symptoms may be delayed.
Fire-fighting measures
Fire Fighting Equipment/Instructions:Move containers from fire area if you can do it without risk. Do not scatter spilled material with high pressure water streams. Withdraw immediately in case of rising sound from venting safety devices or any discolouration of tanks due to fire. ALWAYS stay away from tanks engulfed in flame. If tank, rai car or tank truck is involved in a fir, ISOLATE for 800 meters (1/2 mile) in all directions; also consider initial evacuation for 800 meters (1/2 mile) in all directions. Suitable Extinguishing Media:Small Fires: Dry Chemical, foam, water fog.Large Fires: Water spray mist or foamExtinguishing Media Which Must Not Be Used for Safety Reasons:High volume water jet.Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards:May burn, but does not ignite readily.Specific Hazards:Irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases or fumes will be released during a fire.Special Protective Equipment For Fire-FightersIn the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal Precautions:Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Ventilate closed spaces before entering. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.Environmental Precautions:Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.Containment Procedures:Stop the flow of material, if this is without risk. Do not allow product to enter sewer or waterways. Methods for Cleaning Up:Prevent product from entering drains. Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system. Absorb with earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers for later disposal. Dike far ahead of liquid spill for later disposal
Handling and storage
Handling:Handle and open container with care. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Do not get this material in contact with skin or eyes. Do not empty into drains. Storage:Use care in handling/storage. Keep container tightly closed in a cool dry and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Additonal Exposure Data:Avoid repeat or prolonged exposure to vapour or mist without appropriate respiratory protection.Engineering Measures:Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas. Personal Protective EquipmentRespiratory Protection:No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory protection.Hand Protection:Protective gloves.Eye Protection:Wear chemical goggles. If splashes are likely to occur, wear face-shield.Skin and Body Protection:Normal work clothing (long sleeved shirt and long pants) is recommended.General:Use safety precautions while handling the product will provide adequate protection again this potential effect.Hygiene Measures:Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid:Direct sources of heat.Hazardous Decomposition Products:Carbon oxides, phenolic fumes may be released upon decomposition. Decomposition of this product may yield oxides of phosphorus. Stability:Stable at normal conditions.Decomposed slowly on exposure to water.Materials to Avoid:Stong oxidising agents or reducing agents; stong acids
Disposal considerations
Disposal Instructions:Dispose in accordance with all applicable regulations. Do not allow this material to drain into sewers/water supplies. This material and its container much be disposed of in a safe way. Consult authorities before disposal.Waste from Residues/Unused Products:Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.Contaminated Packaging:Do not re-use empty containers.EU wastecodes:Waste codes should be assigned by the user based on the application for which the product was used.
