non oxidising

Additional information

The study does not need to be conducted based on the screening screening criteria described in the CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 and the standard testing regime of REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006, Annex VII, Column 2. The substance meets the screening criteria reported in the CLP Regulation, which are in principle the same as the wording in Section 6 of Appendix 6 to the UN-MTC, because it contains oxygen chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen. Furthermore, tests are not required for the substance according to the REACH Regulation, because, based on its chemical structure, the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials; substance contains oxygen atoms that are NOT chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen.

The substance is considered as non-oxidising.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on its chemical structure, the substance is not expected to have oxidising properties and it is therefore not classified as oxidising according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
