TEST ANIMALS
- Source: Charles River, Germany
- Weight at study initiation: 1700 - 2100 g
- Housing: Animals were housed individually in metal wire cages (Ehret GmbH, Germany) with a wooden rest shelf. Wooden shelves were removed during the exposure.
- Diet: Altromin 2123 maintenance diet for rabbits, rich in crude fiber (Altromin, Germany), ad libitum; additionally hay briquettes were offered as a dietary supplement
- Water: tap water, ad libitum
- Acclimation period: at least 5 d

TEST SITE
- Area of exposure: 2.5 x 2.5 cm
- Type of wrap if used: Test substance was applied on skin and covered with a cellulose patch, held in place by non-irritating tapes. Additionally, the treated skin site was covered with a self adhesive non woven fabric.

REMOVAL OF TEST SUBSTANCE
- Washing (if done): Residual test substance was wiped off with wet Kleenex tissues.
