Description of key information

The Flash Point of HHCB is 144°C using the closed cup method study equivalent to EU Method A.9 (Flash-Point).

The flashpoint of 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-4,6,6,7,8,8-hexamethylindeno[5,6-c]pyran was found to be 144 °C at 102800 Pa in a non-GLP key study according to ASTM D6450 using the closed cup method. A GLP study according to EU guideline A.9 using the Pensky-Martens method reported a flashpoint of >100 °C at 101325 Pa. As the first study provides a more accurate value, it was selected as key study.
