Description of key information

Based on the results of the EU A.14 test, the Reaction mass of bis(2-chloroethoxy) methane and 1,15-dichloro-3,5,8,11,13-penta-oxa pentadecane and 1-(2-chloroethoxy) -2-(2-chloroethoxymethoxy) ethane is considered to pose no risk for explosion

Justification for classification or non-classification

All components of the test substance do have an oxygen balance of > –200%. The values were obtained due to the presence of a chloro atom and/or alcohol or ether groups in the molecular structures of the components. These types of groups are not chemically instable or highly energetic. Based on this the test substance is considered to pose no risk for explodability.
