Short-term aquatic toxicity data are
available for three trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and algae). The
acute effect values (as loading rates) for fish (Chinese rare minnow),
daphnids and algae (Daphnia magna and Pseudokirchneriella
subcapitata) are 5.73 mg/L, 93 mg/L and 116 mg/L, respectively. The
substance does not need to be classified for acute aquatic hazard.
Long-term aquatic toxicity data are
available only for aquatic algae for which an ErL10 of 67.02 mg/L was
determined. As only one reliable long-term toxicity endpoint is
available, chronic classification needs to be based on both chronic and
acute data of which the most stringent outcome is used for the final
Based on the chronic data (ErL10 of
67.02 mg/L) and the substance’ readily biodegradability, the substance
does not need to be classified. Regarding acute toxicity, since the
substance is readily biodegradable and has a log Kow of -2.01 (no
experimental BCF is available), the substance does not need to be
classified. Therefore, based on both acute and chronic data, the
substance does not need to be classified according to Regulation
