Description of key information

No data available concerning carcinogenic effects.

In vitro testing did not reveal any signs for potential genetic toxicity of the test substance in bacteria (OECD 471) or mammalian cell culture (OECD 473 and OECD 476).

Under certain conditions the substance might form nitrosamines. Nitrosamines are carcinogenic in animal studies.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no available experimental test data for the classification of cancerogenicity but test data for the hazard assessment of repeated dose and mutagenicity did not provide any sign for a potential carcinogenicity effect. These data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation 1272/2008, as amended for the thirteenth time in Regulation (EU) No 2018/1480.

As a result the substance is not considered to be classified for genotoxicity under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
