Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The substance is not acutely harmful for aquatic organisms up to its maximum water solubility.
Additional information
The water solubility of the test substance is estimated to be <0.002 mg/L. An analytical method for detecting the substance at such low concentrations is not available. In the presented aquatic studies, the organisms were therefore exposed to saturated concentrations. Results are based on nominal concentrations.
Short-term toxicity to fish:The test substance is not harmful to fish up to its maximum water solubility.
A reliable key study is not available; however, long-term toxicity testing on fish will be carried out as the substance is poorly water soluble (ECHA decision number CCH-D-2114552948-32-01/D).
Supporting study: OECD 203, Oncorhynchus mykiss, rep. no.: 84/425, BASF AG, 1985:
96-h LC50 > 460 mg/L (nominal)
Supporting study: DIN 38412, limit test, Leuciscus idus, rep. no.: 10F0647/875060, BASF AG, 1988:
96-h LC50 > 10000 mg/L (nominal)
Long-term toxicity to fish: This information will be submitted later based on ECHA communication/decision number CCH-D-2114552948-32-01/D.
Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:The substance is not acutely harmful to invertebrates up to the maximum water solubility
A reliable key study is not available; however, a long-term toxicity study on Daphnia magna is available, whic is considered adequate as the substance is poorly water soluble.
Supporting study: OECD 202, Daphnia magna, rep. no.: 50E0387/05E001, limit test, BASF SE, 2010:
48-h EC50 > 100 mg/L (nominal, saturated concentration)
Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates. No chronic toxicity effect is expected for aquatic invertebrates.
OECD 211, Daphnia magna, rep. no.: 51E0387/05E012, BASF SE, 2014:
21-d NOEC >= 10 mg/L (nominal, saturated concentration)
Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria. The substance is acutely not harmful to algae up to the maximum water solubility.
OECD 201, Desmodesmus subspicatus, limit test, BASF SE, rep. no.: 60E0387/053371, 2010:
72-h ErC50 > 100 mg/L (nominal, saturated concentration)
72-h ErC10 > 100 mg/L (nominal, saturated concentration)
Toxicity to microorganisms. The inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when the substance is introduced in appropriate low concentrations.
Key study: OECD 209, domestic activated sludge, BASF SE, rep. no.: 08G0387/053373, 2010:
180-min ErC10 = 970 mg/L
Supporting study: OECD 209, industrial activated sludge, BASF AG, rep. no.: 669/87, 1987:
30-min NOEC = 800 mg/L
Conclusion. The substance is not acutely harmful for aquatic organisms up to its maximum water solubility.
