Description of key information

According to  QSAR predictions the BCF value of 3-acetamido-5-amino-4-hydroxybenzenesulphonic acid is estimated to be

6.384377 which does not exceed the EPA bioconcentration criteria of1000. From this it is concluded that 3-acetamido-5-amino-4-hydroxybenzenesulphonic acid is not expected to bioaccumulate in the food chain.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
6.384 dimensionless

Additional information

Bioaccumulation is the process by which the chemical concentration in an aquatic organism achieves a level that exceeds that in the water, as a result of chemical uptake through all possible routes of exposure. The relationship between bioaccumulation and bio-concentration is that, chemicals that have the potential to bioconcentrate also have the potential to bioaccumulate. Bioaccumulation is closely related to the Bioconcentration.

The estimated BCF values for 3-acetamido-5-amino-4-hydroxybenzenesulphonic acid by the reliable sources QSAR ,PBT profiler, EPI suite and Scifinder are presented below respectively

Sr. No

Endpoint name

Value

1

BCF 6.384377
2  BCF  3.2
3 BCF 3.162
4 BCF  1

Based on the above it can be concluded that the substance is classified as non bioaccumulative in nature as the values

does not exceed the EPA bioconcentration criteria of1000 and therefore is non bioaccumulative in nature according CLPregulation.
