No mortality LD0 was observed at dose <= 59 mg/Kg/day. A NOAEL of 59 mg/kg/day was determinated because food consumption and body weight gain in rats exposed to that dose of 2,4 -dinitrophenol in the diet for 4 weeks were similar to those of controls.

Data has been obtained from secondary source that mentions Kaiser JA. 1964. Studies on the toxicity of diisophenol (2,6-diiodo-4-nitrophenol) to dogs and rodents plus some comparison with 2,4-dinitrophenol. Toxicol Appl Pharmacol 6:232-244.

Weanling rats were exposed to 2,4 -dinitrophenol in the feed for 4 weeks. No mortality LD0 was observed at dose <= 59 mg/Kg/day. A NOAEL of 59 mg/kg/day was determined because food consumption and body weight gain in rats exposed to that dose of 2,4 -dinitrophenol in the diet for 4 weeks were similar to those of controls.
