Additional information

Two guideline tests (OECD TG 404, 405) were well conducted by Allen in 1997 and the results indicated that the test chemical was considered as a non-irritating substance to skin and eye via acute dermal and eye irritation/corrosion studies in rabbits. These two studies were utilized as key studies in substance irritation and corrosion evaluation due to their high adequacy, reliability and relevance to this endpoint. The following information is taken into account for any hazard / risk assessment: Skin: The test material was considered not irritating to the skin of rabbits (OECD TG 404). Eye: The test material was considered not irritating to the eyes of rabbits (OECD TG 405). Value used for CSA: Skin irritation / corrosion: not irritating Eye irritation: not irritating Justification for classification or non classification According to the existing results on irritation and corrosion in laboratory animals, there is conclusive evidence that BDP was considered as non-irritating and non-corrosive.
