Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice - If exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.
Inhalation - Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a doctor.
Skin contact - Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
Eye contact - Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. If symptoms persist, call a doctor.
Ingestion - Call a doctor. Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water.
Self-protection of the first aider - First aider: Pay attention to self-protection. See section " Exposure controls/personal protection" for more information.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable Extinguishing Media - Dry sand. Special powder against metal fire. Dry sodium chloride.
Unsuitable extinguishing media - DO NOT USE WATER, FOAM OR CO2.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards arising from the chemical - None known.
Hazardous Combustion Products - Carbon oxides. TiO2.
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment and precautions for fire-fighters - In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions - Avoid generation of dust. Remove all sources of ignition. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Other information - Refer to protective measures listed in Sections " Handling and storage" and "Exposure controls/personal protection".
Environmental precautions - Should not be released into the environment. Prevent product from entering drains.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up - Take up mechanically, placing in appropriate containers for disposal. Avoid generation of dust.
Reference to other sections - Refer to protective measures listed in section "Exposure controls/personal protection" and " Disposal considerations".
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Protective measures
Advice on safe handling - Avoid generation of dust. Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Take precautionary measures
against static discharges. Fine dust dispersed in air, in sufficient concentrations, and in the presence of an ignition source is a potential dust explosion hazard. See section " Exposure controls/personal protection" for more information.
General hygiene considerations - Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Keep working clothes separately.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Storage Conditions - Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure controls:
Engineering controls
Use with local exhaust ventilation. Use only with adequate ventilation to keep airborne levels of dust below recommended exposure limits.
Personal protective equipment
Eye/face protection - Wear safety glasses with side shields (or goggles). Eye protection must conform to standard EN 166.
Hand protection - Wear butyl or nitrile gloves. Gloves must conform to standard EN 374.
Skin and body protection - Wear suitable protective clothing. Protective shoes or boots.
Respiratory protection - Suitable mask with particle filter P3 (European Norm 143).
Thermal hazards - The product does not represent a thermal hazard, thus special consideration is not required.
General hygiene considerations - Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product.
Environmental exposure controls - Dust from exhaust ventilation should be separated out in order to avoid release to the natural environment. Do not allow into any sewer, on the ground or into any body of water.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity - Not applicable.
Chemical stability - Stable under normal conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions - None under normal processing.
Conditions to avoid - Avoid generating dust; fine dust dispersed in air in sufficient concentrations, and in the presence of an ignition source is a potential dust explosion hazard.
Incompatible materials - None known
Hazardous decomposition products - None under normal use conditions.
Disposal considerations
Waste from residues/unused products - Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Dispose of waste in accordance with environmental legislation.
Contaminated packaging - Dispose of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Other information - Waste codes should be assigned by the user based on the application for which the product was used.
